The Citadel of Peringath
Writing prompt: Write a poem about a city.
The citadel of Peringath,
A steeple in the earth.
From it’s walls to its bath,
Beauty is its girth.
Red and Blue colors,
Cherry blossom trees,
lovers, and brothers
An ever autumn breeze.
Cathedrals at its doorstep,
Children in its inner parts,
A land of promises kept,
And colorful food karts.
What a lovely city
The home of great men
How the world will pity
Its sudden end.
